This site is dedicated to providing information for current veterinary students and prospective interns as they navigate towards and through the first year in clinical practice.

A veterinary internship is usually completed within the first few years following completion of the DVM degree. Most internships are one year in length and all facets of clinical and academic practice are available including small, large and exotic animals.

Internships are offered with private practices and through university or academic settings. Internships provide a new graduate with the skills and experience to qualify for residency programs, improve clinical judgement, provide mentorship, and have fun the first year out in practice.
